We’re getting to that time of year again. The weather gets cooler, the leaves start to change, and investor fears switch from interest rates, and recessions to the outcome of the next election.
This note is simply a preemptive reminder that elections aren’t as important to the stock market as most people like to imagine. While we all hope our preferred candidates win, selling because they lose (or selling because you fear they will lose) is never the right answer.
